Task Team is a social enterprise project for North Belfast, partly funded by The Executive office’s Social Investment Fund.
The aim of the project is initiate social change; to improve the lives of those living in more deprived areas, reduce unemployment and reduce poverty. This is done by offering those who may not otherwise be able to afford general property maintenance a helping hand. Work such as, but not limited to, painting, carpet fitting, gutter clearing, electrical work and janitorial services are on offer. From budding apprentices and general handyfolk to expert tradespeople, Task Team aim to employ those from the local area who may have otherwise been unemployed, or looking to establish a career in trade.
Task Team came to Paperjam seeking a practical and robust yet open and friendly name & brand. Through clever use of a laddered 'A' and a rounded, warmer adaptation of Albert-Jan Pool's DIN, this was achieved.
Throughout the naming & branding process several iterations were created before reaching the final name. It was agreed that the word 'Northern' should be omitted, as Task Team have ambitions to spread across greater parts of Belfast, and ultimately the rest of Northern Ireland.
